BOOKING CONDITIONS

 

1.         Your contract for all aspects of the holiday is with Bridge4uS.  Hotels will not attempt to answer any questions in relation to your booking.  Any special requests regarding rooms, dietary requirements, disability facilities etc should be directed to us.

2.            Bridge4uS reserve the right to cancel holidays should numbers be insufficient.  In this case all monies paid will be refunded in full.  Where possible at least 1 months notice will be given.

3.         All booking forms should be accompanied with deposits of £25 per person.  Deposits are refundable provided you let us know you wish to cancel at least 3 months prior to the commencement of the holiday.

4.         The balance is due at least 1 month before the start of the holiday (the due date as stated on the confirmation letter).  Late payment may result in the cancellation of your holiday and may incur additional administration charges.  Any discounts or other promotional offers will be forfeit.  Once the due date has passed you are liable for the full cost of the holiday though we will accept a cancellation provided we receive it before this due date.  We regret that, under no circumstances, can we offer refunds for any cancellations received after the due date specified. 

5.            Transfer to another person can be accommodated but may incur a small administration fee.

6.         If you are coming on your own we will guarantee you a partner.  Play will be duplicate and a basic knowledge of ACOL will be assumed.  We try to accommodate all standards.

7.            Bridge4uS are keen to promote the full enjoyment of bridge.  All sessions will be played in accordance with the rules and ethics of the EBU.  We encourage a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which to play.


 

F.A.Q’s

1.                  Question : What is your policy on single supplements?
Answer :  Our primary aim is to ensure fairness, spread the costs and encourage as many of our clients as we can to share a twin room.  In the long run, we feel this will provide for a more enjoyable and cost-effective holiday for all our guests. This policy is independent of the charges that hotels impose for single room bookings - it is not our intention to profit from single supplements.
2.                  Question : Your Brochure indicates that single supplements are at the cheaper rate for the first 6 bookings.  How do I know how what supplement I will pay?
Answer : Telephone us prior to submitting your booking form.  In general, the earlier we receive the booking the more likely the cheaper rate will apply.
3.                  Question : How do I know in advance how many guests (or number of tables) you have for a particular holiday?
Answer :  Guidelines issued by the EBU advise that there should be a minimum of 5 tables.  We would normally expect between 7 and 10 tables.  With this in mind we will not go ahead with any holiday unless we have received at least 20 bookings one month in advance of the start date of the holiday.
4.                  Question : Are Master Points and Prizes awarded?
Answer : Yes – generous prizes and master points are awarded at all our venues.
5.                  Question : Why do I have to pay the balance one month in advance?
Answer : Because we have a contract with our hotels whereby we commit to buying rooms for the holiday one month in advance.  Should we, or the hotel, cancel the holiday for any reason (at any time) all monies paid will be refunded.  We reserve the right, where necessary to change the directors – this is only likely in an emergency.
6.                  Question : What qualifications and experience have the organisers of Bridge4uS?
    Answer : Your two directors, John Taylor and Roger Chappel are both fully qualified EBU Directors of considerable experience.  In addition both are EBUTA qualified, John having run a bridge club for improvers in Bolton for many years.
7.                  Question : All your weekend breaks are over 3 nights.  We have to travel a large distance to the venue and it would make it easier if we could stay longer – is this possible?  Will the extra nights include bridge?
Answer : Yes.  There is a section on the booking form, which enables you to ask for extra nights – we will quote you the additional cost before confirming your booking.  Depending on the numbers requesting it bridge sometimes can be offered with the extra nights - you will be advised prior to arrival if this is the case.
